Description

Calibration of cleanroom particle counters is a process whereby specialized instruments used to measure airborne particles in a cleanroom are checked and calibrated against a reference standard ISO 14644-1 to ensure their accuracy in both particle counting and size measurement. This is important in maintaining the integrity of the cleanroom environment by providing reliable data on particle contamination levels. The methods outlined in ISO 14644-1 represent an important step toward more accurately assessing cleanroom contamination and improving process control which specifies procedures for testing particle size distribution and counting accuracy.
